Default Favorite/Least Fav Marijuana Books

What are among your favorite and least favorite pro-marijuana books?

My favorite would probably be "Marijuana Myths/Marijuana Facts", by Lynn Zimmer and John Morgan. I like it because every little fact in the book is backed up by a footnote.

One of the least favorites of mine would have to be "The Hemp Manifesto: 101 Ways Hemp Can Save the World" by Rowan Robinson. That book has a lot of interesting info in it, but no footnotes and no bibliography.

This should be in the "Books" forum.

"Marijuana" by E.R. Bloomquist. Written in '68, it has the approval of Anslinger.
If anyone's ever seen or read Fear and Loathing, I believe the author was portrayed in the drug convention. Much of the text of this book closely mirrors the language used by "L. Ron Bloomquist" which Hunter Thompson speaks of. "t-shades" and the whole "roach" argument... funny stuff

there's a great book called Pot Planet that just came out that everyone here should read. it's about a guy who travels the world with his pipe and bong and visits all these different countries and gets high everywhere he goes and then writes about the stuff he sees and people he meets. it's exactly what i would do if i had a lot of money. which i don't and i can't find a hookup anyway.

I just realized that my previous post is irrelevant. The topic was "PRO" marijuana books, and the one I reefer to is DEFINATELY an anti-marijuana book. They cite a case in there of a kid who smoked pot and his eyes got stuck turning right and he couldn't look straight or left anymore.

A book I read recently that I think is an excellent book is "how to grow medical marijuana" by mark mccormick....it has some usefull info on growing but also presents some piffy quotes and interesting info on MJ. Also, it has the script to "politically incorrect" when mark was on with woody harelson ...

I haven't read a book on MJ yet that I totally didn't like...

Peace...

i was at the airport one day in one of those little shops. i was looking at the books and i saw one called "THE DEATH AND LIFE OF BOBBY Z" i was like 15 and the only reason ibought it is because it had a pot leaf on it. i read it like a month later. to this day it is the sweetest book ive ever read. its about a drug lord that gets killes during a sting so the get a guy in prision who looks exactly like him to take his place(noone knows he is dead) and zanyies ensues. i highley reccomend it. damn good book.

i give it 2 thumbs up

I also own Marijuana Myths Marijuana Facts: A Review Of The Scientific Evidence, it's an excellent book.

Right now I'm reading Understanding Marijuana: A New Look At The Scientific Evidence by Mitch Earleywine, ISBN: 0-19-513893-7.
