| Understanding Marijuana: A New Look at the Scientific Evidence by MITCH EARLEYWINE I have just purchased this book. Having only read the first chapter, I can't give a thorough analysis (yet) but from what I've read, this looks like a very objective work written by an authority in the field. The foreward and preface are also interesting reads in and of themselves. I'll post a more thorough outline of this book after I've read it. Chapter One entitled 'Highlights in the History of Cannabis', which has a pdf link above, is a good summary of the history and present use of hemp fiber, hemp fabric, cannabis as an intoxicant, and cannabis as a medicine.
