| I absolutely love Harry Potter. I'd like to share a few of my favorite excerpts from the fifth book, "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix." "Harry," said Ron, giggling weakly, lurching forward, seizing the front of Harry's robes and gazing at him with unfocused eyes. "There you are...Ha ha ha...You look funny, Harry...You're all messed up..." "Hey!" said Ron, who had staggered to his feet and was now tottering drunkenly toward Harry, giggling. "Hey, Harry, there are brains in here, ha ha ha, isn't that weird, Harry...Honest, Harry, they're brains -- look -- Accio Brain!" Methinks Ron took a j break in the Department of Mysteries. ![]()

| Harry Potter is good for the same reason the Da Vinci code was good. Strong plot, easy to read. The dialogue in both is shitty but the plots are interesting and the diction is so simple that they are fun to read. That being said I like Harry Potter and I like Da Vinci code too. Ironically, the movies for both are shitty too.

| I thought the books were absolutly awesome! I started reading them when there was only the first three, so ever since then I've been right on the books since they came out. My favorite book was by far the third one. The mvies... well. Eh. The first one was pretty good, but ater that they got retarded. I stopped watching them after the third one was slaughtered by the new director. I guess the actor that played dumbledore dying didn't help much either... Anyway, I can't wait for the last book to come out! |

| I'm with everyone above saying that the books are fucking amazing. I love them. I started reading them shortyl after they came out when i was in 5th grade (now a senior in hs). So i was always reading them right when they came out. I think the movies are just garbage. The last book is coming out this summer. Im pumped. |

| Yeah, I've read all of them except the last one (which I'm supposed to start soon at the insistence of my girlfriend). Started in the middle of high school. I think it's the greatest thing to happen to kids since.....well.....ever since TV came along, books have never been a primary source of entertainment for kids, so these books are doing a great service by reminding kids that reading really can be fun, even exciting. My 2 cents.

| I received the very first book from my mother when I was in 8th grade for a Christmas gift. I was like mom why would you get me this book. (that was 6-7 years ago). I was hooked after the first book and have read every one since. I don't really enjoy the movies. |
