the davinci code was the best book i had ever written....then i read Angels and Demons by the same author - Dan Brown.

these 2 books have been researhed to such an extent they almost prove/disprove religion and science...they are so awesome

ive never felt so connected to a book before.

When the DaVinci Code first came out and my uncle handed me the book and said read it, its really good. And i like to read. So... I start on the first page and could not put the book down. Like i was constantly reading that book until i was done.. in like a day and a half.
It was brilliant. I haven't gotten to the Angles and Demons yet but in time... it will be read. Anyway..

ok...now don't flame me for this, it aint you. its the 2years of ****ing dan brown propaganda i;ve had to put up with.

the words "proof" and dan brown should never be included in the same sentence. the words "fact" "deductivist" are just two other. the only words that should be permitted are "fiction" and "plagiarism". read the holy blood and the holy grail and you'll see how a load of complete academic bull turned into a load of populist bull.

saying that dan brown came up with an intricate plot-line concerning religion is stretching it...to say he disproved it is snapping it and wrapping the remains round your senile great-uncle's left testicle.

bottom line though: dan brown is a plagiarist arsehole who couldn't write to save his family from the holocaust.

sorry to bust your bubble pumpkin but the fact of the matter is that dan brown didn't do any research. he just copied all the info he needed from the "holy blood and the holy grail", which is remarkably less than the original contained anyway. the HBHG caused outrage when it was released at the end of the 80s for those who don't know.

i'm not saying don't enjoy him...hell, even i got a kick out of his books (poorly written though they are). i just really do not like the guy and the way that his work has been marketed. i mean for christ's sake: PEOPLE BELIEVE THIS ****!!!! even most of the authors of the HBHG admitted that what they'd researched ammounted to two parts bull**** to one part phenomena. notice how the forewords containing the words 'fact' in them are so short? that's because if they wrote anything more they'd be sued to purgatory and back.

I am not going to blow smoke up your ass, I dont know anything about the legitimacy of his work, but I read that book and loved it no matter who did the research.

i know that majority of his info came from HOLY BLOOD but if u read it u will notice that HOLY BLOOD is basically a text book of information.. yeah its brilliant but id prefer to read a novel then read a text book.

he did this by incorporating the info into the da vinci code, he is a brilliant writter.. hashishi, have u read ANGELS & DEMONS by dan brown. if u havent i suggest u do, and then come back to me and tell me he aint a good writter..

i believe angels and demons is his best book, better then the davinci code and again their is fact in this book, please tell me where he supposidly plagerised this one??????????????????????????

yeah i've read it, and your right, i can't tell you he plagiarised any of it.

he's good at setting plot and creating the story...i'll never call him a good writer though don't get me wrong, i think his books are a thrill to read...but that's where it should end. all the marketing spin that got bandied about around the time of the holy grail just made me want to scream. that comment earlier about how he "basically disproved religion" is my point in a nutshell.

there are people out there who are actively divulging alternative histories from the dvc. tourists come to rome and ask to be taken around its sites following the routes taken in the book, self-obsessed with the idea that they've got some deeper insight.

as i said, i enjoyed the book BEFORE i started hearing discussions suggesting its accuracy. ITS FICTION for ****'s sake. get a grip.

i know i'm a cynical bastard at heart, and this is partly why i can post **** like this and feel comfortable...or maybe that's self-righteousness ...i get confused. either way, not trying to offend anyone. i just really don't like dan brown. that bloke could sell four mispelled words on the back of a napkin these days. he's another tool of a dumb populist society.
