Post A Million Little Pieces..

I dont know if you have heard of this book yet, but it was featured on Oprah (who I hate btw) But I read the book a few months ago before Oprah got her hands on it!!! And its a really good story about a guy who goes thru rehab after being addicted to several different drugs. I highly suggest you guys read it, but have someone tear the last page out. It ruins the book, and if you do rip the last page out you need to buy My Friend Leonard- By James Frey.

A Million Little Piece-James Frey

Let me know what you think, if you have read it!

Trust me, I dont read books either, but its worth it. And if you guys liked A Million Little Pieces you should read My Friend Leonard by James Frey. But tear the last page of A Million Little Pieces out if you plan on reading the 2nd book.

My Friend Leonard- James Frey, talks about his life after rehab. Its written very similarly but still very interesting.

yeah, this book moves SO quickly. i finished it in 2 days. i dont think i book ever made me feel like this book did. it is sad, happy, funny, depressing, and a thousand other things. its great.

***IF YOU HAVENT FINISHED THE BOOK DONT READ BELOW. IT WONT RUIN ANYTHING IF YOU DO, BUT I DONT WANT SOMEONE SAYING I RUINED IT FOR THEM***

does anyone remember the part where he goes to the dentist to get all of that work done on his teeth?? that was CRAZY! a book has never made me cringe like this! i had to put it down for a few minutes to get through it.

The wrighting style has a quick beat to it. Short but powerful. Fits the subject matter well. I realy like the author's idea on how addiction may be a disease but it's still a choice, each and every time.

Anyone else find it kind of interesting that the only drug he ever quit was pot?
I know it doesn't really mean anything but I still thought it was interesting.

I felt like I needed to start squezzing tennis balls reading about his trip to the dentist. I spent an extra couple of min. brushing my teeth that night.

AZwildcat why do you suggest tearing out the last page?

In light of recent events I though I'd bump this back up.

The author, James Frey has admitted to falsifying parts of the book for dramatic purposes. On Larry King Live, Frey said that he did not actually have a hole in his cheek like the first couple pages of the book described. In fact it was only a scratch on his chin. He claimed "A hole in the cheek was easier to write about." Frey also exagerated parts of his criminal life.

LL....it seems more than a few pages were completely made up. www.thesmokinggun.com has a huge expose on the book, and it seems as if a LARGE portion of the book is complete BS. For example, he talks about how he was involved in a wreck that killed two teenage girls, when i reality, he had ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with that accident. After reading how many lies he told, I lost all respect for him.
