| I got his book "Kafka on the Shore" for christmas. I like it, but its very weird. Has anyone else read this, or other books by this author? I guess he's got a following of fans. I really want to read another book by him, but I dont know what to get cause there are so many.

| well this threads old but I wanted to update it. I'm reading The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle by Murakami right now. I have no idea how to describe it. aside from it's about 600pages long and paperback. it's the story of a married man in Tokyo who's wife leaves him, japanese history, discovering yourself. that's all ive gotten. i'm aat page 280. It's a hard book to put down. i suggest you read it! i plan on buying many more of his books how was Kafka on the Shore? |

| wind-up bird is so great! kafka, if you're still wondering, is fantastic as well. Although shorter, the characters still maintain TONS of depth. Its cool stuff (fast forward from last year btw: I have read three of his novels and one collection of short stories and I love them all) weird how that works out anyway, enjoy ![]() |

| I just read a short called "Another Way to Die" by Murakami. It was interesting but a good read. Really makes you think about fate. |
