great book. i'm reading it for the second time now. i always recommand this book to racists/anyone who thinks a race is superior to another.. although science proves over and over again we're all equal, this book seems to change peoples minds more than any other science related text.

anyway, it's not much about equality really.. just a very well written and interesting book. anyone read it? what do you think?

i've read that book too, it is really good. jared diamond is really intelligent and i've seen him speak a few times at my school (he's a professor here) and he's a great speaker as well.

what school do you go to?

they had a 2 hour (maybe more) program with him on PBS basically explaining/retelling the book and going to different places (New Guinea etc..) it was nothing less than bad ass (i was stoned). i havn't read The Third Chimpanzee yet, I'm looking forward to it, should have it in about a week.

he's a really captivating and easy-to-read writer. i thought the book got a little dry through the midway section, but overall it is very informative and a fun book
