Read Civil Disobedience, there's some great shit in there. You can print it out from Wikisource. He also has Walden, A Walk in the Woods, etc. He is so great. I always love authors who you'd like to have a coffee with, and Thoreau is exactly that.

I'm reading Walden right now

He combines Eastern philosophy with romantic era lifestyle, very interesting, and loads of wisdom throughout his work.

Walden is fantastic.

Thoreau is very much a Naturalist, probabably one of the first, and I love him for it.

There is actually an organization called the "Thoreau Society" which puts out publications and has group meetings and stuff.

I'm not apart of it but I find it cool that he has that much of a following, and he's been dead for how many years now? It's a testament to how great and pertainent his works are.
