Hey guys what up? I dont really read but id like to get started. I like reading when its somthing im interested in. How do you pick books? im looking for something kinda old school. like new jersey/new york lifestyle from 1920-1970 or somthing like that. I dont care if its fact or fiction. it could be a interesting biography. my mom would have to take my to the library to get it so it cant be straight up about drugs but something involving marijuana would be sweet. thanks for your help!

Dude, this doesn't fit your description at all, but see if you can find Prometheus Rising. It is about your brain and the evolution of consciousness and how hallucinogens can help you out. It's a trippy book and will change your life forever!

The Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. Weird last name he has, haha, but he wrote an awesome book. It's easy to read and is laugh-out-loud funny. Or the biography of Jim Morrison, which forever changed my perception of The Doors.

Angelas ashes and Tis' by Frank McCourt the books are pretty well known and they take place in ireland/new york city in the time period you specified and they are actually really good

"Read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. Its a hella good book! A Lot of it makes you think, its Science Fiction, but in the end its just words put together that human minds different and alike can read to create various effects depending. So if you want take a chance on it. ~.~"
