I have borrowed "A Brave New World" from my first period teacher... Pretty freaking weird.

I read about half of The Doors of Perception over the summer, but it was a little hard for me to really get into it. Huxley got a little bit long-winded at times. The mark of a true genius, I suppose. I definitely plan on reading it all the way through in the near future, as well as a couple of his novels mentioned above.

I just finished Brave New World last week and loved it. It's scary in how it reflects the direction in which our society is moving. I'd love to try out some of that soma though...

I've been trying to locate a copy of Doors of Perception, but none of the bookstores around here carry it. I guess I'll just have to order it from Amazon.

Huxley is rad. I'm reading Island for school, and am enjoying it much more than Uncle Tom's Cabin, which I don't recommend you read for enjoyment, as all you will get is "sympathetic racism."
