Lord of the rings series. i am currently reading the first book, almost finished with it. There is far more detail in the books than any of the movies. i feel the movie focused on the ring more than the travels of the fellowship. anyone else read this book?

I couldn't get into, but that was many years ago, and I would probably enjoy them now.

I did really like the Hobbit a lot, one of my favorites. Have you read that? You'd probably like it.

I never read unless i had to till lotr!

theyre my favorites, so much detail and characters have such clear personalities. by the way has anyone read children of hurin? its great, it takes place before the trilogy.
