ive been making some hard candies using both butter (getting softer chewier results) and tinctures (getting firmer results). now i question if this is really a factor in the hardness of the final product. ive recently stumbled upon some useful information that is making me question whether it's the butter/tincture or if it's indeed the actual temperature that determines the hardness. does anyone know if butter will lead to a softer end product?

lastly, how much thc burns off out of the butter/tinctures when cooking candies at these high temperatures?

thanks in advance to anyone with some info for me! i want to get this candy making down.
