Just a list of places that are named Madison in the states, care to specify which one you're talking about?

And no matter how legal Marijuana is anywhere in the USA, it's still illegal under Federal law.

Not quite. The DA's office in Dane County just decided to not prosecute cases of possession less than 25 grams, because they deemed it simply wasn't worth the man-power or resources. So it's not legal or even decriminalized or anything like that. They simply don't care as much about it as they do, say, child abuse. There's a good chance you'll still get a ticket, though (in Madison, this has a limit of $109).

Frankly, it seems like they have their priorities straighter than a lot of other legal authorities. But that's just my opinion... I could be wrong.

Ok so its something like if you have it in a private location under so many grams then you can't get in trouble? But, possesion in a public place is illegal?? And even then its still not a crime you just get up to a $100 fine?? Or did I read that wrong...

You can always get in trouble for having Marijuana, there is no place in the USA that you can have marijuana without potentially getting in trouble. Under Federal law Marijuana is still illegal, you can still get prosecuted under federal law - even if you have a Medical Card.

While that is technically true, the DEA isn't interested in a guy with a bag of weed in his pocket. One DEA rep said that they wouldn't pursue anything smaller than 100 plants. They're after big growers, distributors, and dealers. Unless you are one of these, you needn't worry about the feds.

I heard about that once or twice in the past, but my meaning, unfortunenately, was more that until Marijuana is legalized federally - all of us have a reason to be paranoid. ;)

That surprises me for I knew some people that grew less than half that amount and they had the DEA knocking on their door a couple times. Plus recently they have been told again the DEA is looking at them.

yes they say that they only go after people that are big dealers or growers but unfortunalty if you have an ounce or more they will try to put you away for the maximum sentence they say what we want to hear, but they do what they want

Well and also I think there is always exceptions to the rule. We live in the midwest so Cannabis is not as readily available or out there as it is in other areas so for here even a little can be a lot.
