Next Generation Vape? Vapexhale Cloud?

I’m a long time lurker here but thought it this would be a good time to sign up and contribute to this forum. Im surprised no one has brought this up but there's a new vaporizer called the Vapexhale Cloud coming out.

Its apparently a totally design with an all-glass pass through. The guy who's doing it is a moderator from Fundamental Consultants Limited – sm55.

I haven’t seen another vape with the same type of delivery system so I’m not sure I even know what to classify it as - it doesnt use whips or bags. Looks like you use custom hydratubes, or you can use it with any glass piece that accepts 18.8 slides.

It kinda looks like a high powered version of the Purple Days vaporizer and I have high hopes (no pun intended) for this.

This is a picture of the “heater”

And these are the mouthpieces, aka HydraTubes[IMG]

I even found a vid clip of a prototype from SM55's youtube page - [ame=]YouTube - VapeXhale Cloud Prototype Heat Retention Test[/ame]

I’ve been using my SSV for a while now with my RooR bong but I’ve really been wanting to get rid of the hose altogether. Other good alternatives look like the Herborizer, VHW, and Verdamper but the Vapexhale Cloud looks like it is more refined than the others.

What do you guys think of this design?

The Cloud is not the only new vape on the horizon, but it does promise to be an excellent one.

You mean a totally 'new' design I take it. It's more a case of borrowing design aspects from other models and combining them. A little Extreme/Vapolution, etc. for an all glass vapor path. A little Supreme Vaporizer/Purple Days for the heat exchanger aspect to maintain a constant temp with heavy hits, and the Vriptech HW is the performance standard.

It's a team effort with 3 partners and you could say that sm (stonemonkey55-also a member here) is the front man, forum wise. Your link is not valid- Fundamental Consultants Limited is a business consulting site.

Basically the Cloud is a hand held, 6" high unit that comes with bong type glassware (hydratube). You can hit it hard, hand it off and the next person can hit it just as hard. The heat exchanger retains your heat and takes the burden of heat recovery off the heating element.

It's going to be a $300 vape, with basic hydratube. Fancier hydratubes will be available too. Some of the best glass workers out there will be contributing-Luke Wilson, StoneGlassWorks, Vertigo Glass. They're working on getting another top class outfit in the fold as well.

More info to come. They'd like to start selling in June, but that may be pushing it a little. The Cloud should be a real winner though. vapexhale » coming soon.

Thanks for the info! And sorry about the typo and busted link - was alluding to f*ckcombustion. Anyone else know anything about these guys?

For my money, its the most exciting vape on the horizon.

Man. If only they had glass gender changers. Then I could stick one of those tubes on top of my Arizer extreme and just use the water filter part. Maybe I could get one custom made with a male glass on glass end. hmmm....

Right now im using it with my bong and it hits really really awesome, but its kind of a pita to manage.

Here's a recent video of the Cloud in action. Temp is set low because they're still working on heat insulation, but it's the nearest to the finished product we've seen.

That looks like a winner, but what I really want is a Vriptech HW equivalent that doesn't look like a prototype and isn't so fragile. With the proper adapter, could the Cloud be used with a Vriptech Water Tool and Vriptech bowls?

Any news on this vape? Thinking of buying a new one for shits and giggles. I have an I-inhale (which I love) for portability and a Vapolution (which gives me great all-glass no-tube/bag hits) for pure taste at home. This one seems cool.

The company had a delay when they had to redo the insulation to reduce heat transfer to the housing. It may be available around Nov-Dec. Get on the presale list if you want the 'introductory price'.

Do you think it'll be worth the wait? I'm a bit leery of being a test monkey. That usually means problems down the road.

If you want top quality glass (including a glass vapor path), big bong like hits, excellent heat retention (a heat exchanger is necessary- hit it as hard as you like), in a hand held design, it's really the only option out there. I know the guy who came up with the concept, and he's used/owned pretty much all the good vapes on the market. His goal was to incorporate the best performance and ergonomic features available into one model, and the Cloud is it. Their tech guy is also both an electrical and mechanical engineer. If there are any issues with the vape on introduction, I'm certain the company will make it right. They realize how important service is to a vape manufacturer. It will also undergo thorough beta testing before any units are shipped.

Much appreciation for the information. You definitely know your vapes. Maybe I will wait for it instead of picking up a Volcano. Any thoughts on the glass mouthpiece options that they list? The site doesn't give a ton of information.

This Vaporizer has lots of promise. It looks like they combined a bong with a vaporizer. Awesome. I've always wanted to take vaporized bong tokes!

How does that vape give such continuous heavy vape clouds. In order to get my VB running that thick through a bong it will usually crisp the bowl. Are you just hitting it without stirring it or does it get vaporized evenly and not need to be stirred?

They use a heat exchanger. It's a passive device that gets heat from the heating element, stores it, and helps to maintain the proper temp during long and/or heavy hits. Without the exchanger, the heating element, as in most vapes, would not be up to the task of maintaining a steady temp, and a heavy hit would bring in too much cold air, lowering the temp, sometimes below the vaping temp. The design of the airway in the glass Hydratubes also helps in this area.

This new vape is truly going to be one you can use like a bong, with virtually no learning curve. It should be available in a few months, and they're still taking pre-orders at at special introductory pricing. I'm pretty certain that the Cloud is going to relegate my SSV to the back shelf, collecting dust. I'm absolutely certain that I'm gonna be a Cloud owner. :)

So you haven't actually gotten to try this badboy have you 5drive?

Hey sm55, you brought up the idea of a vape show-n-smoke in the bay area (in the FC forum)...and 4/20 is right around the corner. I got my Cloud+Sovereignty pre-ordered, but would still love an opportunity to test drive them all.

My original model Extreme finally bit the dust when I was holding it by the aluminum case and the innards fell out. Many years of great use, but now it's on to bigger and better!
