I do have a question though - my links are not commercial - I get no money from clicks or anything like that - and I'm just trying to share what I've made with people I think might really like it. Isn't that what forums are for? In other words, if I post things like this in "Cool LInks", that's okay, right?

It's not a problem if you get revenue from traffic to a site via advertisements as far as spam is concerned (again though, this is a community board, not a board to post links to your site every time you add new content or marijuana related content, there are other boards for that).

What makes your site commercial is that you have an online store and you also have a section called "Actually give me money" for donations.

You can upload your videos to youtube and link them here, or post your articles/jokes here, but as long as your site has a store section and a donation section we consider it commercial.

I guess in short it boils down to there is no such thing as free advertisement, not that advertising was necessarily your intention, but the rule is in place because it is many people's intention.
