I for one refuse to even click on the link. The last thing I want to do is raise their number of visitors.

The KKK uses flawed statistics and people's fears to manipulate people into listening to their garbage long enough for otherwise sensible people to be persuaded by their bigotry.

I have heard the claims that they are not about hate for other races as much as they are love for their own race.

Racism is not something that just fades away from one day to another. It is something that needs to be fought continually.
But As days go on into the new Millennium, we are gradually transforming our misconceptions and prejudices into understanding and acceptance
We are now a global community and as countries are getting richer, education is getting better and avaiable for more people
education is important to understand, that racism is nothing but stupidity.
I hope that racism will not longer exist in future.

magicmoe: racism has been around forever. although it's not nearly as overwhelming in the world around us as it used to be, it's still one of the world's biggest problems. i totally agree with you when you hope for no racism in the future, but we have to look at it realistically. racism and discrimination will always be around no matter what, no matter how hard we may try to abolish it. it's just something that the human race has always had as part of its nature...think about it. there was racism thousands of years ago, and it still runs rampant today. something that's been around that long is pretty hard to get rid of, as much as i hate to say it. i guess all we can do is try.

Because I live in Sweden I've not been in real contact with the KKK, only from films and documentaries.
You can't misunderstand their message though.

Here, we have the nazis (as you do too) who set foreigner-friendly politicians homes on fire and murder blacks/jewish people/muslims as well as homosexuals. Fortunately the swedish society is very strict about these things so their propaganda almost never reaches the public.

What points do they have by the way????

Skin Color is of absolutely no relevance to me; I try hard not to judge anyone, but I do pick my friends based on the content of their character.

It's almost amusing that ignorant people like the KKK are still in existence. I say that there are bigger problems in the world though, so let these people continue to wallow in their ignorant thinking until they one day see the light. They are wasting their lives. Don't let it drag you down.

As the typical "White American Male," It does piss me off sometimes when I am stereotyped. When people think of
"white people," they normally picture the Leave it to Beaver household in a rich neighborhood with a white pickett fence around the yard where Lassie can roam about. I find that disturbing because it is quite untrue. As a white person I feel like I have little or no identity in America; I am seen as a the white majority, even though white people have just as diverse a backround as anyother race. Nobody bothers to think of me as a "european american," even though I could care less for such a phony, politically-correct term. The reason I say all of this is because I want minorties to know that they're not alone; nearly everyone in one way or another feels discriminated against or stereotyped in one way or another throughout their lives.

I also resent the fact that ignorant groups like the KKK promote a moral society, while they simultaneously promote their hate messages. This sucks because supposing I agree with their belief that a child should not be exposed to homosexuallity, people automatically group me with such ignorant groups as the KKK since they also believe this. I'm not saying all people this panicky and judgemental, but many are.

Ultimately, I try not to let the KKK and other ignorant f*ckers get me down. While they continue to spread their messages of hate and deception, I will try my best to make my world more deverse and full of acceptence. This is one thing that the HERB has helped me in accomplishing.
