About Indymedia.org and drug war. Support our fellow anti-prohibitionists!

I have gotten a lot of positive feedback about the huge GSF-Indymedia Genoa police raid compilation and updates.
http://sf.indymedia.org/display.php?id=102089

Here is some info about its creation, and some Indymedia how-to useful for anti-prohibitionists.

I started a small GSF-Indymedia Genoa raid compilation one day at an Indymedia site (San Francisco) that automatically converts URLs to clickable links (not all Indymedia sites do that yet), and then added links as comments to it every day as I got inspired. It thus became a huge compilation.

Other Indymedia sites started linking to it from their features sections in the middle of their front pages. So that was further inspiration to add more info as comments.

I have posted a ton of stuff about the drug war at many Indymedia sites and highly recommend that activists do so.

Some Indymedia sites use better, later, versions of the Indymedia "active" software and get more hits. So try various Indymedia sites. There are scores of them around the world. The left side of the main global Indymedia site has links to nearly all of them. By city, state, nation, region, continent. Main global site:
http://www.indymedia.org

Some busy Indymedia sites are the main global site, San Francisco, UK, Italy, Vancouver, and many of the sites outside the USA. Many US sites haven't yet upgraded to the new software, and so are still relatively primitive, harder-to-use, and thus less active. Good sites usually allow at least 30 to 40 news titles in the right side news column.

The people at Indymedia are activists to the core and they are thoroughly against the drug war. Anybody can post stuff at Indymedia sites. The main site,
http://www.indymedia.org
gets the most hits. Post some of your stuff there if you want.

Try other Indymedia sites, too, especially if you have problems there at the main site. Indymedia has frequent problems due to frequent attacks from who knows where. As we anti-prohibitionists know, this is a sure sign of effectiveness.

When you post or "publish" something it will show up first in the newswire, usually right away, or in a few minutes. The newswire has a link on the front page. The item will show up later at the top of the right side of the front page. Some sites will show it right away on the front page. It may take awhile to show up on the front page. Come back in an hour and check.
