Well of course it's cheaper... it was new in 1991. I wouldn't pay $30,000 for that old thing. It would be useless to anyone but an engineer who could hook the thing up, write software and use it, and maintenance would be a biatch. Try ordering replacement parts when your incredibly rare 1991 supercomputer poops out...

I gues it would have some value as a collector's item though...

do you have any clue how powerfull that thing is? That thing is worth way more than 30k... and as for replacement parts... you can order them directly from the manufacturer...

Can we say.... boom, you could make up your 30k leasing out time to small buisness that need it but don't have the money for a supercomputer. You don't need to be an engineer to run that and thats like a mk 4 cray 2 its not 1991 technology, its much newer like 93' 94'. Parts, yes they can be ordered, and thats basically the high power computer the government and nasa are using now. Theres are just a little bit updated and some better chip technology.

If I had 30 grand, It'd be mine.
