Over the Holiday break period, I have been working on some new designs for my web site. Before I release the site to the general public, I would like some comments on what I should change...

so far there are four pages: a home page, a videos page, a fake ad banner page, and a fake privacy policy. I have uploaded only these as a prerelease test/demo to ask for comments.

I would like to know if you think the home page is too cutesy/colorful and maybe if I should change the design to something more along the design style of the Videos page. Also, anything else you can think of to make it aesthetically better is welcome. (Try not to worry about the links not working yet)

Damn, i see a lot of skill at work there.

The first page is cool, but it seems a little on the "kiddy" side, what with the colors, and the white background. I think you should a bit more toward the "videos" page, but still keep a funky layout like the main page. Very cool, and i cant wait til the mpegs work, i wanna hear Scream time.heh

Is that gonna have something to do with anime or something?thats the impression im gettin from the main page

Hmm I think the main page is a bit to Nintendo Gamecuby + Pokemony. The video page looks alot better and out of place with the main page. Whats the main theme, point of the site? I was thinking its like dragonballz meets jackass.

Hmm I'm not sure how I could actually combine the two themes like you suggest, FootLongFatty... the entire design of the front page depends on the background color being white, because almost all of the layers have some sort of transparency.

I agree with Absentdreamer that having two different motifs really disunifies the site as a whole.

lol as for my cartoon characters being Pokemony... rrr nevermind I won't go into that Your second guess w/ Dragonball Z was closer... I infused some of Akira Toryama's drawing style with my own for the head and shoulder structures of my characters. I guess I should have said this before, but the main point of this site is to sort of be a home page for my cartoon characters, so it's probably good that you're picking up on that... the videos are just to get repeat visits (and eventually advertising money... running the site isn't free) because people love the videos, but for the most part the site is supposed to be somewhat cartoony.

I will try to implement one consistant theme... but insodoing I will probably scrap the blue theme I used for the video page.

Ya, as i was reading that last post, i was thinkin that you should just pretty much get rid of the blue/black theme (altough i like it) and stick with your main page kind of theme, since it's obvious a fair amount of work has gone into it, and suits your "topic" more.
