Run away robot

This is kind of funny, a lab in Rotherham, South Yorkshire has been developing "living robots" basically they battle each and interact with one another and learn as the do so, so every day the learn more and more things. Well one of the robot got "smart" enough to break free of his cage and too make his exit out of the building... he was later discoverd in the parking lot.

Am i the only one having a flash back to some sci-fi movie with robots taking over? We gotta find a way to get them robots stoned! Later ya'll

that's hilarious! i wouldn't mind seeing one of those robot matches.

that's freakin amazing! So coudln't these robots eventually get smarter and quicker than us. I don't know how they work or anything, but it seems like if you gave one enough time and enough "capability to learn", down the road they could out-do us humans in certain areas, strictly physical actions and problem solving, i think.
damn i really want to see these in action

if you think about it, humans are really just complicated robots made from different materials. i think that's where we're eventually headed with inventions like this. Although we have self-will and conciousness, we're just reacting to our surroundings like the robots are. Our brains, too, run off electricity.
