| Marijuana Policy Project has a lot more influence on redesigning the current drug laws with in states. Unfortunetly, they are smaller and are working one state at a time, using polls to tell them where to hit next. They are responsible for the initiative in Washington DC, as well as working with the Nevada initiative. You're donation is much better spent at MPP. Trust me. Not only do they lobby state senates and houses, they lobby congress (paid for by donations) and support state groups wanting to start initiatives in their area. You can also, sign up for an e-mail notification, where they have people running searches in every state to find NEW laws regarding marijuana. Including revised old laws. Along with a notification (that puts the law/amendment in question) they automatically have a link, with pre-written letters to contact YOUR state reps. Don't get me wrong, I like NORML, and am a card carrying member, but they are about as good as this site when it comes to changing state laws. They pass on information and news, as well as have chapters where you can volunteer your time and energies in protests and other projects. When it comes to resuls, MPP is the way to go, direct your dontations there. NORML gets enough from the guys who read hightimes.
