| According to the website I mentioned above, former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark outlines what he describes as "...crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes and deprivations of the civil rights of the people of the US..." carried out by President Bush, Vice President Cheney, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and Attorney General John Ashcroft. A few allegations contained in Mr. Clark's Articles of Impeachment are as follows: "Authorizing, ordering and condoning assassinations, summary executions, kidnappings, secret and other illegal detentions of individuals, torture and physical and psychological coercion of prisoners to obtain false statements concerning acts and intentions of governments and individuals and violating within the United States, and by authorizing U.S. forces and agents elsewhere, the rights of individuals under the First, Fourth, Fifth, Sixth and Eighth Amendments to the Constitution of the United States, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights." "Making, ordering and condoning false statements and propaganda about the conduct of foreign governments and individuals and acts by U.S. government personnel; manipulating the media and foreign governments with false information; concealing information vital to public discussion and informed judgment concerning acts, intentions and possession, or efforts to obtain weapons of mass destruction in order to falsely create a climate of fear and destroy opposition to U.S. wars of aggression and first strike attacks." "Violations and subversions of the Charter of the United Nations and international law, both a part of the "Supreme Law of the land" under Article VI, paragraph 2, of the Constitution, in an attempt to commit with impunity crimes against peace and humanity and war crimes in wars and threats of aggression against Afghanistan, Iraq and others and usurping powers of the United Nations and the peoples of its nations by bribery, coercion and other corrupt acts and by rejecting treaties, committing treaty violations, and frustrating compliance with treaties in order to destroy any means by which international law and institutions can prevent, affect, or adjudicate the exercise of U.S. military and economic power against the international community." "Acting to strip United States citizens of their constitutional and human rights, ordering indefinite detention of citizens, without access to counsel, without charge, and without opportunity to appear before a civil judicial officer to challenge the detention, based solely on the discretionary designation by the Executive of a citizen as an "enemy combatant." " I was merely expressing my opinion in regards to the website, especially in the interest of protecting civil rights, and encouraging others to inform themselves. There is an intriguing article in The American Prospect, www.prospect.org about George W. entitled "All the President's Lies." Other websites that enumerate the Bush Administration's "crimes against the American people" are: www.infowars.com www.pfaw.org www.ratical.org *honorable mention goes to HR 3162 introduced by Senators Daschle, Lott, Leahy, Hatch, Graham, Shelby, and Sarbanes in the Senate of the United States also referred to as the Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism ACT of 2001, which can be evaluated at www.eff.org www.epic.org or Senator Leahy's own site http://leahy.senate.gov/ * |

| How bout I just don't click on any of those links, and just be one of the countless people who thinks that it really doesn't matter. Bush, Clinton, Bush, Regan, whoever, are just men. They do what's best for them first, and then do what's best for everyone else. That's just how it is.

| do you think you could do a better job. who would you like to see follow bush should you impeach him? did you vote in the prior election? who for? that looks like a big list of **** bush has done....a biiiig long list full of broad, unspecific claims. Mr cLark is one of the problems with society, work to help our leaders if you feel they are not doing the job you believe they should, dont make a long, winded speach on how ****ty they are. george w. bush is just another human being, doing the best he can as he sees fit. in his opinion and many others, he is doing the right things and is doing well as president of the united states of america. he's another human, roses are red to him, coffee is hot, and assholes are lotusflo....i mean assholes. (j/k lotusflower, its all in good fun) no matter who you put in office the american people will still have very limited say in what the president does. you can only hope that we elect a president who sees the world as closely as possible to how you see it. go ahead, replace bush. in 2 years there will be another 20 million assholes calling for THAT mans head. educate yourself and make YOUR life as good as YOU can make it. its your only hope. |

| I'm not sure why Mr. Clark is one of the problems with society; he appears to be exercising his Constitutional right to seek the impeachment of government officials who are not adequately representing the people. Perhaps I am an idealist. I do not feel represented by my "elected" officials. Perhaps that's why I write every member of the Texas Senate and Texas House of Representatives every day urging them to draft legislation that would make marijuana available to the sick and suffering and to establish a foundation seeking the reform of current marijuana laws for responsible smokers. I also write on behalf of the ACLU, Amnesty International and other human rights activist organizations. Immediately following the tragic injustice of the September 11th incidents, the PATRIOT Act was quickly and quietly pushed through Congress, as I mentioned in my previous post. The systematic and bureaucratic rape of American civil rights, including but not limited to: 1) new exemptions for the federal government from disclosure requirements of the Freedom of Information Act and the Federal Advisory Committee Act 2) the military's Total Information Awareness Program that creates profiles on citizens by tapping public and private databases including the government's ability to seize private personal records, such as credit card purchases, medical histories and visited websites 3) monitoring and surveillance by city and state police of civilians, regardless of suspicion of criminal activity or association 4) the Justice Department's anti-terrorism initiatives, including the registration, detention and secret deportation of immigrants regardless of filing any formal charges and the indefinate detention of U.S. citizens "suspected" of terrorist involvement or activity and 5) a proposal in the Domestic Security Enhancement Act of 2003, also being called PATRIOT II that would give the Attorney General the ability to strip an American of his or her citizenship should that person be deemed to support or be in alliance with any terrorist and/or terrorist activity was the driving force behind my original post. I am very concerned that under the tutelage of our present government leaders the average American will have precious few, if any, fundamental rights left. This is the heart of the intention for my post. |
