Thumbs up The 'Archive of Misheard Lyrics'!

Here's a GREAT site I like to go to when I'm bored. It's dedicated to all the songs that we THOUGHT we knew the lyrics to. For example...the Hendrix tune a lotta folks think is "'Scuse me while I kiss this guy"!

In fact, the site is KISS THIS GUY dot com!

I'm not sure they're still taking submissions (said they were WAY backed up a while ago)...but for lots of laughs, it's a real winner!

I WAS gonna post it in 'music'...but it IS a 'kewl site' indeed!

ahh man this brings back memories of when i was belting out the lyrics to a Filter song i had heard but didnt know the name to. My friends were singing along and i felt compelled to as well, so when it got to the part where the singer screams:

Heyyyyyyy mannnnnnn niceeeeee shotttt, hows it going nicee shotttt

I began to sang what i heard as:

Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuumannnnnnnnnn nationnnnnnn, hows it going nation?

To make matters worse the title of the damned song is Hey Man Nice Shot.

I have never sang that song again since.

That's what it's all about Cleric! I'll bet EVERYONE here has their own 'misheard lyric'!

Mine was Steve Miller's 'Jet Airliner'. Since I worked on an assembly line at the time...I always thought (or maybe just projected) the lyrics to be "Please don't jam that line up."! And if you listen to it, you'll hear that's EXACTLY what it sounds like! I submitted it a coupla years ago...that's when they said they were to busy to take any more!

There's a TON of 'em there!

Heh.. my aunt told me about that site a long time ago. It's pretty cool to browse, but the layout is crappy, and some of the links screw up on my computer.

Default Here's MY personal fave...

Song: Thank God I'm A Country Boy
Artist: John Denver

The real lyrics were:
Well I work all day and I fiddle when I can.

But I misheard them as:
Well I work all day and I piddle in a can.

pOOn

EDIT: I agree about the layout, it DOES suck! But I've never really had any other problems with it.
