2 Total Signatures Actually, theres like 50 other online petetions regarding legalization of hemp on that site. Ive seen em all. None of them will help them to get a bill even represented, sadly. But all the more help I guess. Marijuana Parades and Rallies over-rule Petetions. Well, some of the time, unless theres like 9 billion signatures ![]()

Well I just barely created the petition today and I honestly haven't told many people about it. As for not helping legalization... what do you mean by that? Legalization of hemp or marijuana? Personally I'm not a big advocate of marijuana legalization. I think it should be decriminalized, but I'm still unsure about legalization, that's why I didn't mention marijuana in the petition. As for legalizing hemp, I think every little bit helps, and honestly, if it does nothing more than educate a few people I'll be happy with it.

| Why exactly do you not want to legalize marijuana?

well it's not that I don't want it legalized, it's just that I'm not sure. I think it has the chance of creating more problems than it's worth, but at the same time I know it shouldn't be a criminal offense.

The prohibition of the drug creates even more problems than if it were legalized. Remember alcohol prohibition? What a huge failure that was? How it caused all sorts of violence? Supported organized crimes? People trying to create their own booze, and actually died from drinking it because it was contaminated? Or how about how much money is wasted enforcing prohibition and losing out on all the tax money that could be generated? Do you realize that you can lose federal college and driving privileges (even if it had nothing to do with a car) because of getting caught with weed? Or that you can lose your house, your car, your children, your food stamps, and other things? Or how about those who have been killed in drug raids for weed gone wrong? Take a look at the Netherlands. They sky is not falling there. They are not crashing and burning. They even use less weed than the US, despite the drastically different drug policies. EDIT I don't mean to come off harsh. It's just that I have a headache. ![]()

It'a alright. I know how you feel. Just keep in mind that when you're talking about alcohol prohibition it had been legal and then overnight became illegal. With weed it's been a gradual thing. Other than that I know where you're coming from. I just haven't made up my mind perfectly.
