Well, I would have watched the whole movie... Except for the fact that peta is inconsiderate and didn't have the decency to put up a progress bar, it was just to long and bland. Well anyways I'm hungery, so I'm off to Burger King .

I watched that movie and yes the farms that they showed were pretty gross. BUT not all farms are like that I work on an emu farm and its not nearly like that. Yes we have to put animals down sumtimes once there was a baby emu suffering in a pen so my boss had to put it out of its missery with a rock. how is that any different then a fish? Some of the treatment they showed is bad but you have to do what u have to do. for thousands of years people have farmed animals and with growing population the farms have to grow too, and with out enough land what are they going to do? put there employees out of business starve everyone? In the pig section they mentioned the bolt gun as if it were a bad thing to use. At the farm i work at they have a bolt gun and it is the most humane way to kill the birds other then contaminating the meat with drugs to kill it. What it is is a pistol with a bolt in it that shoots out and instantly kills the animal. the animal feels no pain and is dead instantly. In the video the mentioned that the animals go to sluaghter where there necks are sometimes slit. This isnt as bad of a method as people think the animal is dead within 5 minutes. So for everyone out there who is like the people who made the video **** happens and you gotta do what needs to be done to live. if you dont like it dont eat the damned meat. those birds bought my first car.



<EDIT> I forgot to mention that i dont know if this is jsut in canada but as far as i know. If a animal arrives at the slaughter house already dead they cannot and will not slaughter it and sell it as meat.
