| A couple of years ago me a couple of friends did something simlar(to a smaller degree). We took an air pump used to blow up an air mattress and fitted a bowl to the top of it. We took individual hits off of it though; turn on while lighting, inhale the smoke pouring out and flip it off, pass and repeat. Not much different from a regular pipe but it was a mostly just a novelty. We thought about just letting it run and hotboxing a car but reasoned that we would get higher just taking the hits straight into the lungs.
