| After watching this commercial, I am now confident to say my favourite game system is Nintendo. Which other consol has great games like the Zelda series and Mario? Donkey Kong? Mortal Combat? There are so many great titals. This is the preveiw to the new Nintendo controller. >.> Plus you get to see some gameplay in updates to some of the old games. Enjoy! http://www.wimp.com/controller/ |

| I think the new Nintendo looks f'n weird. The only reason they're still around are those old titles like Mario, Zelda, etc, they've been going downhill for a while.

POOR EXCUSE FOR A GAME???? ??? ? ? ????? Well, I have to respectfully disagree with you on that one. Super Mario 64 is probably the best Super Mario game in existence right now, and this is an opinion shared by almost all video game critics, and many fellow gameplayers. It won so many awards for best game and other things.....it was truly a great game. But, of course, not everybody will like it. I'm curious what it is that you didn't like about the game......I know some people found it hard to get used to Mario in 3D after all those side-scrollers but usually people got over that fast since it was such a great game.

No fucking doubt. That was such an addicting game. Probably the best one made next to Mario Kart 64. But that whole system is bomb, thats the only system I have, and still play it to date.

Also, Nintendo is the innovator that keeps the industry alive. You can thank them for the analog control stick, 3D platformer, the rumble feature, memory card, etc. Nintendo is first and foremost a business, but they have, in my opinion, figured out a way to successful while still staying true their roots and to their loyal customers

| While Mario 64 is easily one of the best 3D platformers to date and a true pioneer of the genre, I don't think it's comparible to the likes of Super Mario world and the other 2D Mario platformers. Apples to oranges, man. However, Super Mario World has to be one of my favorite 2D platformers of all time. I oughtta get it for GBA. What did everyone think of Mario Sunshine? I was disappointed with the water jet at first, thinking it was only a gimmick and that gameplay would be centered around it (the marketting for this game was terrible), but I was wrong. The water pack is mostly there to give you more moves and to serve as an attack against enemies. I thought it was an incredible platformer, and truly lived up to its predecessors. My favorites were those mini-levels where your water pack is taken away, and you need to jump through those crazy platform patterns and get to the shine at the end. That a capella Mario theme in the background of them was great, too. ![]() I hope this isn't too off-topic. This thread seems to have morphed into a Nintendo appreciation thread / discussion of the best games made by them.

Gamecube rocks. I've got a PS2 and a Gamecube both and I never touch my PS2 anymore. I still play Gamecube almost every day. The games are just superior to everything else because they are absolutely original and based around fun. I don't find the games to be childish at all. I've got Mario Sunshine, Zelda, Resident Evil 4, Madden, Tiger Woods, and Donkey Konga. The Konga games are awesome...totally original. And remember kids...fuck Xbox for being dirty whores that sell out every original concept for the all mighty buck. I thought it was amazing. I still play it all the time just because it's so fun to roam around with that water pack.
