They changed the values a little a few years ago instead of everything doubling like it used to till the 6 digits. It is now 1,000, 2,000, 4,000, 8,000, 16,000, 25,000 50,000, 100,000, 250,000, 500,000, 1 mill. The milestone values are 1,000 and 25,000 now and you get a 4th lifeline if you answer the 25,000 right, switch the question.

I saw this the other day and I knew it would be on the net. There is someone else who missed the first question and it was about the straw that broke the camel's back and I think they said hay. These two beat the guy who used all 3 lifelines on a $500 question about what is the verb in the following sentence and he still got it wrong.
