Kinda funny, you get life in prison or the death penalty for possesing pot in Malaysia, but I guess it's perfectly fine to play with snakes :/

Hope he had some money saved away.. a wife and 5 kids.. one (or all?) of which will be a snake handler like he was!

I was about to say, he died from a snake bite? But it was the fact that he had diabetes, because I'm sure all those guys have been bitten by a venomous snake before. That's unfortunate.

Every snake handler takes a risk, anti venom only works so many times for you and then your body becomes immune to it and then using anti venom won't help you against anymore poisonous snake bites, so even if your healthy the snakes venom can still kill you. Some snakes venom is more potent than others. Certain snakes that bite you, their poison could cause someone to bleed internal.

The article doesn't say if he used anti venom or used it enough times that it wouldn't protect against the snakes venom. It doesn't even say anything about him recieving medical attention until his condition got worse and was he was rushed to the hospital.
