I can't really see the practicality of such a dense pack of bullets, I could see this for like a long line of bullets or something to the effect of sweeping with a machine gun ya know? Do I really want to put 100,000 bullets in a space thats 2 x 2? I hope it can shoot bullets into the side of buildings and make beautiful little clip art pictures.

Neat, but do we really need a gun that fires 1 million bullets in a minute? Think how much ammo you'd need for it. All that metal ate up by a completely frivolous weapon. Does it perform any function better than any other current weapon?

From a purely innovative standpoint, its not a new weapon system. The "Dense Pack" multiple barrel firing system has been around since the 1970's, in both movies and books since then. The downside (up until now) was the the system was either "one shot, the end" or would allow for a EXTREMELY slow reload time (read: damn near impossible), but with with all technology, the answer to the reload problem came from another quarter, the lowly inkjet printer.

The amazing thing is, this system has SO much innovation, I can see it totally refocusing the battlefield for the forseeable future. From Firebase and Ship defense systems, to antitank - helicopter attack systems, to even antipersonnel close support fire...

I mean, can you SEE that puppy being fired from a AC-130 Gunship?

It'll be like firing a full auto shotgun into a bathroom stall...with just about the same results.

Better yet! I want to interface it with the PC in my truck. I figure I can mount a couple muti-barrel packs in the grill (or headlights like James Bond!). It would be the shiznit for that old geezer that drives 40mph in the fast lane when I'm on my way to work!
