| The safe haven upon the canopy, Rested itself on top of the hill. Clouds blooming behind it's silhouette, The Sun's laughter eased to a smile. This was the turning point for humanity, Gold softly colored the heavens. Greed had finally found another home- Refreshing and relieving, we have yet to die for it still. Covered in shade, I stood away, Watching the latest of days fall into space. There was a ticking sound changing tone, Increasing it's volume to my questioned thoughts. It's trails of echos, Spoke with images while I stood confused. The hands once held, The energy no longer circulating within me, Echoed into my ears like perpetual water drops to a sink half full. Relentlessly and undeniably I began to crave Once more. I selfishly conquered the hill, Escaping the shade until the holy aside rose from behind. "Relieve me" I spoke aloud, to an etheral trial. And without a second, I heard no more, Saught no more, In this world. My mind floated away, Catching a wind of a newer conciousness- With my greed satisfied, I craved no more In this world upon his canopy. |
