I sit sometimes and think upon,
How long this here war has went on.
The people hurt,
The money spent,
All in the name of,
"Ye" better repent.

That stick you toke,
Offends me,they say,
Don't mess with that stuff,
Or we'll take you away.

I don't want to fight,
I am so tired,
I wish we could talk,
And not get mired,
In a war against people,
Who can't seem to agree,
Even though these people,
Are just you and me.

I don't want to argue,
Who's right or wrong,
I just want this war,
To move on along.
Get to the end,
Whatever that may be,
Iv'e given up enough freedom,
Just tryin' to be me.

So the next time you want to start,
Growlin' at me,
Please remember that you come,
From the same country as me.

I love this place,
That we all live,
And I don't want to take,
When I know that I should give.

Thats all right,
If we disagree,
But don't take away,
My right to be free,
And speak my mind,
When we can't agree.

She roils and screams in torment, she wails in the agony of birth, the dark of ages intolerance, moves back before the rising sun, hides in shadows of darkling souls, away from freedoms girth.

It pains our Mother, this last battle, the move toward sane human life, but necessary I deem, this last large era of strife.
Forces there be, who wish it not, prefering the power of sword, the control of persons, both living now, and persons yet to be born.
And yet, the sacred herb, she grows so tall, and all guns have brought no end, I smoke her in pride, as my Gods allow, and will unto my end.

As I turn away, from the prairies gold, and look to mountains high, my vision does slowly enfold, and tears drip from my eye, perhaps I will not see this end, this birth of something new, yet to this beginning my efforts bend, to keep my freedom true.

Never again, will I willingly lay, the yoke of slavery about my neck.
My Gods have spoken in quiet thought, deny the thoughts of men, slavery by chain, by thought or word, spoken in demeaning tone, is slavery of the most precious, the cowing of ones soul.

Sweet smoke of ganja, and my vision clears, my eyes they dry in winds of change, I have lost so many, of slaveries fears, not believing of their moral sins.

Hold not to the belief, that what we do be wrong, far better to wrap your arms about the strength that is our own.

Their are many who judge me, and place me in boxes of simple confine, no addict, no derelict, no, not I, though marijuana smoker be true. How better to seed my quiet vision, of Man straight and true, willing to give, respect and tolerance, than all them the dark eschew.

I stand beneath the four clean winds, and happiness gentles my rage, for change is coming, as it always will,
freedoms birth, lasting, I see her now, spreading about this world, long the road, and many the page, yet her birth it is in the final stage!

Hmmm poetry is something I only do occassionally...
But I love to warp words to reflect my soul
and what can I say, your last poem moved thoughts in me.
So thanks back to you.
We can only make each other better.
kinda lijke sharing a joint...weed is also better when shared.

1. I love the weed, it feeds my needs,
I could smoke all day, pullin on a fat jay
The only bad thing 'bout the crazy hay
Is the fact that I have to pay
And it's illegal they say
Herb would be free if I had my way
Listen to my words like it was what the preachers say
If you'd free the leaf, the whole world would have relief
People who haven't done anything wrong, would get out of jail and smoke a bong all day long!

2. One day we'll be allowed, to smoke up a cloud,
and at the same time be free.
But for now we're jailed, they say our lives have failed,
and it's all 'cause of a part of me they refuse to see.

3. The last ones aren't mine, I've known them for a long time, but I don't know who made 'em up : Little miss Muffet, sat on her tuffet, smoking her jay all day. When along came a spider who hit the bong beside her and laughed as he floated away.

4. Roll Roll Roll a joint, lick it at the end! Take a puff, that's enough, pass it to a friend.

5. Stoners live and stoners die, but in the end we all get high. And when I die I'm sure I'll be high, so if in life you don't succeed say screw it all, and smoke some trees.

6. This is my favorite one I made; Trapped somewhere within a burning cage
My body is filled up inside with rage
I can hardly stand the heat
but I'll never admit defeat
Born in a time of hatred and pain
where half of your neighbors are certifiable insane
And tyrants are only looking for more to gain
Teens spray their peers with steel
People go for days without a single meal
Nuclear missles are aimed at the heart
Entire families are ripped apart
The truthful word goes unheard
But I will continue to raise a fist in rebellion
We will rise up in force of a million
Conquering the ways that can't keep up to a new millenium


It's pretty irie to find a place where we can share poetry.
Oh, yeah...btw, all of the my poems were made under the influence of cannabis sativa. Anyone wanna add some pot-influenced poems?

Aye the war is failing
Aye the end is near
Aye they're making money
Off cancerettes and beer

Aye we're being held down,
Aye we're being searched
Aye our lives are turned upside down
By the fist and the church

Nay there is no danger
Nay there is no threat
Nay we would not prefer
To smoke a cancerette

Begin to discover yourself,
And set yourself free
You'll realize that theres more to life,
Than your SUV

Aye it's been said before
Aye it's nothing new
Aye it's time to let go
And smoke a bill or two

Yes i am a stoner,

Hahah, well that was by no means any of my good writings, but my good writings don't have alot to do with weed. More just contemporary thought, but hey, thats what this forum is! Haha

Though the details grow and grow
I've become hooked, yes i know
Is it addictive? Yes indeed,

Some part of me died that day, some part of me will ever cry, for the look of scorn I read and take, to my ending by and by.
Know this my father, and heed my words well, I smoke the herb, and engender no burning hell, oh father you told me, to do what I believe, to stand for what I deem the right, to hold my head high and free, against all comers of day or night.
My deepest regret, father, against you I must stand, herculean the task progenitor, yet your lessons are well in hand.
To my own self be true, and this course I follow well, some day, perhaps, you will see the true, and bury this hatchet in sand.
But it pained me father, will evermore, of this is certitude.
