Forum Guidelines: Please READ before Posting

After a year of being debated, shelved, ressurected by everyones favirote moderator TC, and debated further we are proud ta bring you a Creative Writing forum for everyone to spill their brain cells onto. Given the huge potential for a moderating nightmare that this forum presents, there are some rules that should be taken note of by anyone wanting to post their stories.

1> All the rules of cheaptalk will be enforced here, that means no flaming, no stoning pets, no using, purchasing, or manufacturing of other illegal drugs, no pornography, no talk of hook ups, no talk of private messages, and no spam. These are overlying core principles of cheaptalk that help define her image. These will not be waivered in this forum.

2>No posts with overuse of profanity, if you want to swear in a poem or story fine but know the limits, seeing !%@#$ every other word only hurts the stories tone. Due to the nature of this forum, there will be a certian level of leeway given provided it is done in a tasteful and nessicary manner, however it will be at the sole discression of the forum moderators and administration. If you push the envelope and get portions of your story deleted because of it, you have been notified, and censorship complaints will not be heard.

3>This is a place for writing stories and poems and critiquing, that means there should be only 3 types of posts in here. We have several other forums to post your thoughts on subjects so please dont post them here as they will only be deleted or redirected as seen fit by the moderators of the forum.

4>We expect everyone to know the fine line between constructive criticism and just being rude, we understand everyone is entitled to an opinion but flaming will absolutely not be tolerated in this forum. We are here to express ourselves and get constructive criticism, and not someone telling us our writing sucks.

As a final note, In the subject field of your posts, please preface with what you are posting so that it is easier for people to distinguish what they are getting ready to read. A simple "Story: (title)" or "Poem: (title)" would suffice.

Other than that, get your pens out and start writing, may the best man or woman win, or however you reacted

No. An image forum uses way too much bandwidth, so the idea has been scrapped. If you have artwork you wish to show off either post to an existing thread in the General Topics forum or start a new one.

Leithreas- naw man its creative writing hehe art would kind of defeat the point. Besides the more posted stuff like that the more scary server dragon message.

deadhed- the point of the forum is for us to pour our creativity in so posting someone elses creativity doesnt really do it any justice. So please only post things that you have written. You can always post the other stuff in another forum if you wish though.

I have a few questions:

If I want to post information and a link to a song I did,would I do it in the Music board or here?

Is it ok to post original lyrics?I write poetry but I write lyrics for songs (hip-hop) more....

For instance Id like to post the lyrics to a battle that I did a few months back cuz Id like some opinions...Would I do that here?Its not made of profanity but in my battles its definatly profane and offensive,but I dont think its enough to have it removed,Ive finally learned that profanity takes away from the actual art so in upcoming battles or songs Im trying not to cuss,lol...

song lyrics is poetry. my guess would be hear if you really wanted to and to sample some music for us, it should go into the music forum, i think. just remember no physical commercial links such as mp3.com.

dude, it doesnt matter where you upload them. just dont put the http://www. infront of the address. so all you have to do is like mp3.com/songititle yada yada ya. if your currious about the posting of physical commercial links, check out this thread.
