These are some lyrics to a song I wrote about getting arrested. Its sort of tongue in cheek, but I like it. Tell me what you think.

Marion County Jail

Three friends and me heading up north
Columbus to Toledo on Route 23
Something bad in store for the family

Pontiac Grand Am, fourteen years old
I don't have to tell you it couldn't be sold
The air was thick with a water that fell
She died on the highway, near a Marion County Jail

Not surprsing the law showed up
And asked some questions and that kind of stuff
I'd lie twice if I say I didn't lie
'Bout the luggage along for the ride

Two were cuffed and two were free
the metal was a cold burden on me
His name was wrong for the jailer of hands
It said on his chest Freeman

Freeman, Freeman, you're not really Freeman
Freeman, Freeman, you're not really free
etc,

An old tale from tribes and bands
About the birth of a fighter for man
They mean to capture and control my mind
I'd rather live free, and live kind

its not totally done, Imay change some of the verses, But thats what i got.

Those are some pretty good lyrics, did you write music to them yet?

Yeah i did. Its kind of a fast country song with a jam in the middle that segues to a slow, spacey part which comes back into the song. I like it.

For some reason when I read the lyrics it reminded me of the song 'Lodi'... but then again everything reminds me of CCR

There might be some Creedance in that tune. Its faster than Lodi though. Hmmmm, maybe I should slow it down . . . maybe just part if it . . . I'll work on it later. Thanks for the idea though.
