| The flame of life burns, fierce and bright. How quickly it fades though, into the night. In the darkness lurks evil - wicked as sin. Embrace it and merge with the demons within. Open your eyes to the colors of death. And your blood will be frozen by its icy breath. Venture the caverns and forests unknown. What wonders lie wait there for you to be shown! Follow the shadow that's tempting your mind, And the treasures, the secrets of life you will find. Smell the tang on the air of impending disaster. Pursue pleasure, the prey, as it keeps moving faster. Hunt happiness down, in alley and pasture. And an eternity of loneliness will fine Greed as your master. I wrote that a couple nights ago . . . I was inspired by the book I was (I finished yesterday) reading (Lord of the Dead by Tom Holland . . . . AWESOME book) . . . . It (my poem) is about making at least a semi-concious decision to cross over to the darkside and become a vampire. I think it's one of my 3 favorite poems that I've written. What do you think? | |
