wow, your a pretty good writter. I like how everything developed, and it was written very well. I'm kinda glad it got right up to chapter 6, I just wanted it to keep going. It was like action without action or something, hard to explain it.

Thanks Logos, and everyone for your support. Im not sure when the next chapter will be posted, its been a rough couple of days lately, but im sure i wont stay away from my pen for too long, just bear with me please and keep checking the forum for updates.

Also a special thanks to dedbr for lending me his ideas on my work.

I already told you this once, but i'll tell you agian. take all the time you need. the story is progressing very good right now. you diserve a break take this time that you have now and try to mend you rpersonal problems, i'd rather see you happy and your personaly life all intact, that the next chapter written

Damn TC i didnt expect that! I read the first 3 chapters as they came out but i ended up going away for 2 weeks, and now upon reading it im shocked, I didnt even think of it being a dream.

but good job on the story im lovin it,

Well im back with a new chapter, i hope i havent lost anyones interest, its been a long tomorrow But to those of you who have maintained interest, or just happened to see this at the top of the forum, i hope you all like chapter 7, i've had a pretty good streak lately with creativity and now have a firmer grasp on the stories direction etc.

But enough boring rambling from me, heres the next chapter.

"Well allright then I say we get high, get some food,and then hang out the mall."

"Oh you mean what we normally do, ok sure." he grinned "And what about work for you?"

"Ehh I'm sure they can get along without me, I will call them up and tell them I cant get a ride." I started to walk towards his kitchen to use the phone.

"Oh yes the extreme benefit of being rich and being a gas clerk" he said with a grin.

"Hey im a well off petroleum distribution engineer" I said pretending to be really hurt by his comments. We both laughed at each other. I knew he didnt mean anything by it, its not like I was the only one with a decent flow of cash.

I made the call to work, I didn't even have to pay attention, its something I have done a hundred times before and I knew the routine well. "Oh well thats fine. Just come in early tomorrow thats all, yup" and a click, then the dial tone. Sometimes I wondered if my boss ever learned how to say the word goodbye over the phone?

I hung the phone up and turned around and Alex wasnt there. For some reason panic came over me and i started to feel warmer. Where did he go off to now? I couldnt put my finger on it but but his not being there really made me upset and paranoid. I kinda felt like I was in the dream again.

"You know this thing isnt going to pack itself" his voice came from the smoke room.

I chuckled, I was just freaking out again. Its funny how the mind recoils when something happens and throws it off balance.

I recall when I was about 12 going canoeing with my cousin of the same age. Everything went fine until the way back. We were trying to go as fast as we could and we caught a current that sent us right into a tree limb. The canoe was punctured, a hole about the size of a grapefruit had punched through the side. I started to panic, here I was in a river about 10 feet deep with my cousin who is also panicing, in a canoe that was now taking on water. We managed to get to the side before we sunk it but, the event still stuck with me. For the next week I would zone out on occasion and feel us on the water and then slamming into that tree limb.

I looked up and Alex was in the doorway staring at me.

"Hey man I was only giving you a hard time earlier ya know. Are you allright I dont recall a time before when you would not run to the mention of weed" he smiled but he still looked serious.

"Yeah I guess im fine, its just this dream really stuck with me, and it reminded me of something that happened when I was a kid that scared me." I realised I was rambling a bit. "Well lets get ready and go." I walked towards the doorway.

Alex came toward me and started to move his arms out, and I could have sworn he was going to grab me but he gave me a hug instead.

"Guy if you ever need to talk about something you can come to me man, I am your friend, so dont feel like you have to keep quiet if somethings buggin ya."

I was shocked that he hugged me and said that, it was awkward of course but it gave me a sense that he was genuinly concerned. Alex was the only person I trusted and considered a good friend.

"Thanks man it means a lot to hear that, but I dont feel like talking about it right now, I wanna smoke a bowl and get some food."

"Now theres the familiar Guy we all know, wanna break dance?" we both laughed and he gave me a pat on the back.

So we smoked a bowl, got all decent looking and took off into the world.
