I walked in a hurry to the bus station, now knowing where I am going. Anywhere but here. Jesus, it has been 30mintes since the fire the police must be looking every where for this criminal, who almost burnt down a field and was lucky the apartment complex next to it didn’t light. One minute I am sitting and doing drugs, enjoying the scenery. Next thing I know the firey pits of hell have risen and settled in a dry field next to a drug addicted felon smoking weed on an old dirty mattress. The cameras at the apartments have captured this horrid twisting of events. One man running out of a burning field with blood shot eyes and a rolled joint hanging from his mouth, laughing hysterically. "Next please, sir, next!". Lost in my stream of thoughts I forgot I was in line to buy a bus ticket. I walk up to the elderly women, she was once retired but she outlived her money, she is forced to work for minimum wage at a dirty run down bus terminal. "Where to sir?" she asks me. "I don't know, you see I have $30, where can that get me?". "Reno", she says with an obvious look of frustration forming on her face. "Not Reno" I say, "I once shot a man in Reno just to see him die". Panic struck her face. Obviously she wasn't familiar with Johnny Cash, my attempt at a light hearted joke ended in fear and panic. "Give me a ticket to Cheyenne, Wyoming" I demanded. Patience is a virtue, but not mine. "Do you have any bags sir?", "no, I travel light, thank you for your troubles" I say as I walk to the boarding station with my ticket. Only things I carry are the insane amount of drugs stashed in every single pocket on my pants I could find. I cursed myself for not buying pants with more pockets. I am first on the bus; I walk to the back and sit down. A prime seat for viewing the creatures riding with me to Cheyenne. Who goes to Cheyenne? Porn peddlers and cocaine addicts. Neither were hobbies of my choice, but I figured it’s the only place where I might be able to fit in. I feel like a stranger watching life from the outside. Human beings have such great potential, but we failed miserably and ended up with a society of greedy pigs and scandal. Cheyenne is the place where society doesn't exist. People are strange there, they have no idea of what's on the outside. The bus driver comes on the intercom; his words are fuzzy and unclear. His speech is over before it begins, as he slams on the accelerator. The 40,000lb machine takes off with enough horsepower to plow 20 fields in 5 minutes. The sudden start catches an elderly person off guard. At the time the bus driver accelerated she was still looking for a seat. The elderly black woman falls to the ground. Dear god she broke her hip I thought to myself. I feel sorry for this lady, who has now gained an audience of laughing bus passengers. I run to her and help her up. She's ok. I gesture with my hands for her to come sit with me. She smiles and sits down. I ask her, her name. She responds in some African language unheard of outside of Africa. For the next 6 hours she will ramble on and on in some foreign language I would never understand. The words meant nothing to me. Yet I did understand her perfectly. She had a giving soul and she was willing to lay it down on a table for you to look at. She was spilling her guts to a drug-addicted maniac on a grey hound shuttle headed for Cheyenne.

Um...wow. That's some pretty hefty character generalisation. As for the Human beings quote...summed up perfectly. The feel of the story is great. I'm gonna have to disagree with KWhite, keep the format how it is, it adds such a unique feel to the story.

Any more coming?

Yes I plan on writing more. I respect K's opinion, although this isn't my usual writing style. I felt the story could best be told by this style. Peace.
