Upon entering the Earths’ solar system the small planet Earth appears brightly as an oasis among the meteor blasted star system. The Earthlings appear to have done little damage to the brilliant blue Earth in their 10,000 years of freedom. Passing through the star system produced multiple encounters with early, unmanned spacecraft bearing the symbols of the Earthlings. Most prominent among them was the American symbol.

Further examination of a planet Mars orbiting spacecraft revealed a moderately advanced surveillance satellite equipped with an early imaging system transmitting digital images and chemical signatures to Earth. The symbols on the craft also identified it as American. It is clear that the humans have begun exploring the galaxy that surrounds them.

As the research vessel approached the Planet Earth we were met with hostile radiation pulses, which were later determined to part of a larger radio detection and ranging system based on the planet Earth. Further examination of the collected energy pulses revealed them to be passive and consistent with early surveillance systems. The bombardment did not originate from any single point. The origins seemed to be scattered around the planet with a disproportionate energy signal originating in the American continent.

The planet Earths atmosphere has settled and is now rich with oxygen. The atmosphere above larger industrial centers shows lower air quality as expected, however, life appears to be thriving in these centers. Moderate pollution controls appear to be in place to control environmental quality. The humans exhibit a genuine caring for the environment and controls have been put in place by the various societies. Our infusion of technology would eliminate any future air quality issues.

The humans have instinctively divided into cultures and have created central governing bodies. The individual governments appear at first to be autonomous. The governments are responsible to that society to which they serve. Of the primary roles of the governments the most important appears to be to protect its’ society and provide the essential public services infrastructure that any society relies upon.

Large penal colonies have been developed to incarcerate those that do not follow the laws set fourth by governments to protect the society. Of all the governments no entity has created more penal complexes than the nation of America. Further examination revealed a disproportionate percentage of the American society was being incarcerated in the American penal complexes as compared to all of the other governments of the Earth. The American government continues to build new penal complexes as more prisoners are pulled from society.

The penal complexes are built and justified by the American government to incarcerate the prisoners of war. The Americans are engaged in a moral war in which there are no real combatants, only victims. This war is different than traditional war in that the enemy is the human population at large. America is at war with the people of the world over the use of drugs. This war on drugs has been adopted in some fashion by nearly every government on the planet through economic and military pressure by the American government. The goal of this war appears to be to demonize and incarcerate the user of any drug that is not controlled or prescribed by a government sanctioned drug industry.

As suspected from the American symbols observed on the spacecraft encountered as we passed through the solar system – America appears to be Earths’ dominant country. A country of great wealth and enough military might to destroy the planet many times over. It is this great wealth and power that America uses to pressure all other governments to carry out its’ wishes. Sometimes offering great treasures to the small governments thus corrupting the autonomy of the once sovereign nation. Many smaller wars have been fought by the Americans doing nothing more than providing weapons and finances to the combatant of their choice.

Legal intoxicants are numerous among each society. Drugs such as the deadly nicotine, which has cancerous effects to all those sharing breathing air with the abuser. Alcohols are sold for internal consumption with nearly no regulation in all but a few societies. Caffeine is added to many beverages including water. Prescribed drug use and abuse is rampant among those who can afford the costly drug recipes prescribed by the sanctioned drug industry. Overdose and casualties from combining prescriptions are quietly reaching epidemic levels among the prescription addicts. Government’s subsidize the prescribed drug costs with tax funds collected from the society it protects. In turn, the prescription drug industry helps fund the continued war on drugs and contributes great sums of money to protect the longevity of the government that supports itself.

The Americans war on drugs specifically targets for incarceration those who do not conform to the drug laws for any reason including medical, financial and spiritual. This is evidenced by the largely disproportionate amount of racial disparity found in those incarcerated under the drug war laws. The smallest racial percentages of the society have the largest percentages incarcerated under the drug war laws. Despite worldwide protest by even the most respected leaders of the world the drug war continues, benefiting only those who subscribe to the drug war financially and politically. Even those who don’t use drugs who sit passive and idol are victims as well as they watch their security and freedoms stripped away by the moral war. Even as America is attacked for its’ ideals and policies by terrorist who would see the great nation destroyed America continues to broaden the scope of the moral war by intentionally and systematically blurring the lines between terrorism and drug use.

Those companies and individuals with the most to gain from the drug war have the financial ability to perpetuate the moral war using the financial success the war brings them. The act of controlling drug trade provides them with more means to control by. Those on the defending side of the war are mostly poor and unorganized and stand little chance of ever gaining an upper hand given the profit driven engine that has developed as a product of this war.

Drug use is common among the human. To see one human destroy another human for not using the morally accepted drug is barbaric. The massive industrial penal complexes are a sign of things to come. Humans are unable to perceive true freedom and have a genuine need for the penal complex. As long as one humans freedom depends on another’s incarceration or destruction neither will be truly free in their thoughts.

Based on the nature of the human to incarcerate or destroy that which it cannot control, co-habitation with the humans would be an impossibility and would likely result in a catastrophic power struggle. Technologically the humans have progressed far enough, however, the human is still a dangerous creature and is not yet mentally ready to accept those things that they cannot control.

It is this panel’s belief that given enough time the humans will destroy themselves and foster enough distrust of their fellow man that hostile takeover will be imminent. The protection of the planet Earth should continue but at this time contact should be avoided at all cost. The humans are not yet ready to share in true freedom.

They must first free themselves.

That was good stuff Rick, worth the read. Once again thanks for keeping this place up and running. Ohh and don't give up on your creative writing, its very good. This war needs to end, and I think it will, maybe not in our lifetime, probably not in the next, but someday it will. Unfortunatly terrorism didn't open their minds, it only closed them tighter. I have faith we will oneday end marijuana prohibition. Cannabis is proof that god loves us.

p.s. KWhite I wish you the best of luck with your health, hopefully you will be doing good soon and able to return to fight this war that should have never been.
