Note: I wrote this for a friends intro to his album, but the album failed, now I released it in 3 magazines, and am about to release it in a collection set of all of my short stories, poems, and scripts. The collection set is a small booklet that comes with music that I've created. Some of the short stories appear as hidden lyrics in the album. This version of the story has not been edited, but it should be understandable. This isn't like my other story I posted "Stop Shooting the Bacon and shoot the Cafe!", which I'm sorry for posting, but glad that you enjoyed it. This one, isn't related to any drugs. This was written in the winter of 2000. Enjoy!

The Fallen Anarchy

I've been here a while, way before you were born. I guess I was made by my masters around the 1920s, but sometime in the 70s gave me a whole new make over. I grew since then, now I over look the slum that barely has any standing buildings, houses at all, and if so, bordered that once were the clean, safe suburb.
I've seen the parades, the shootings and the traffic jams. I see above the smog that suffocates the city lounges. I can see the outskirts of the city, where communities use to build up at a fast pace, now into ashes and rotting like a corpse in the heat of July. It seemed to end so fast, maybe cause I'm just a monument for the city, I'm seen on every remaining tourist post card, pictures of the city, trying to give out beauty, but really it's just computer edited.
The war broke out, many were drafted, families were destroyed, and the chaos gripped the economy and the society. Protests began while riots followed, soon global warming took its roll, melting capsule, flooding coastal lands, and killing many.
Mass religious cults came about, going to war with each, while gangs of anarchy set fire to the government. First Uncle Sam fell, on his face, cracking his head open, bleeding his brains out. Other nations when on copy cat sprees, and soon fell the international economy.
Diseases took their tolls; mass graves were soon taking over the land. The once rain forest was just a dried out waste land, flooding every other week, forming new born diseases, to kill more and more. Scattered wars broke out among civilians. Earthquakes rumbled just outside on my yard.
Now hear I am, rusting away, with the rest of the destroyed city, were very few walk and breath, were rotting away is the fashion of today. Anarchy destroyed my land, now I can only see the city side ways because of my tipped over body. Now I must retire, and give the land to nature to deal with, humans can't interfere, cause they are all dead.

Step a side, truthfulness is miles away, and its a bit bloodier than most of you think, I've seen much more than my age, and after my recent tours throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, Pacific Islands, South America, Central America, the Carribean, and Northern Canada.... what you see is horrible for you is only luxury to many.

thanks. heh, maybe i'll post two more stories, but gonna wait. one of the things a writer loves if good complements.., so far a picked up some good stuff from the people who've like it.

guess it gives some kind of energy to write more. i know when i read the reply, i wrote the next act to my new script. hopefully its gonna be a play....

But I completely disagree with your concept of anarchy. Anarchy is without a government. What you're describing is chaos.

Sorry, felt I had to say that to give some justification to all the anarchists out there. Including me.

Don't get me wrong. It seriously is VERY good.

There is also another thing you could call it; "tomorrow".

well, i kinda wrote it too show people what could happen if Anarchy went all wrong. It wasn't written to offend anyone, sorry if it did. I'm some what of an anarchest, but I wont get into that here.

edit: well, yea, thats pretty much of what i see of "tomorrow", all if we follow the foot steps what seem to be what we are following.
