| Peace, said the sheep in a baaaa of high fidelity. I smell a bun cookin’ in the oven, perfuming the air with a scent like that of the moon in July. Everyone came to my aid like maggots to warm meat, turning to flies all around me they were. Then just buzzing off, like they do. Flying right into God’s(Satan’s) bugzapper with fury borne of the self – righteousness of the arrogant. Yeah, buddy. Crack, Snapple, Pop. But the sheep was right, and the fumes of the self – righteous are actually quite pleasant, when you consider the alternative. Caressed by the roiling tide as I was crushed against the rock cliffs, I thought to myself ‘Leonardo Da Vinci could have gained a lot in his studies of the currents in moving water had he had the advantage of this viewpoint’. I then fed the sharks so spastically, they tore up my body with gleeful delight, staining the surf a pretty shade of red. Now I’m shark 5hit on the ocean floor. Death is peaceful this way. And the sheep are still grazing in their blessed ignorance.

| Hm, was the first paragraph about religion? Don't have a clue what you meant with the second paragraph, though it was interesting (in a good way).

The second paragraph, written several months later, is, to me, an acceptance of death, as well as an acceptance of the possible fact that one may have to go through the death process alone. In fact, death, like religion, is a wholly personal event which cannot be truly shared with another. I wrote it as an exercise to help me get through the death of my Father. Thank you for your kind critique. I always welcome such communication. ---g--- | |
