its edge is glistening
with wetness and care

a shiver of delight and need and glee

give a light suck, to practice, rehearse

i set it to a flame
its emotions distraught
its spewing love, and joy, and sight
on one end, it reels in pain
and yet the other, so gently caressed
it knows it must be done and so it shall
this was its purpose, its nearly done now

it feels itselves end drawing near
but suddenly, without fear
the pain stops and it wonders...
wonders what new thing shall come
what wondrous, horrible, thing shall come
a darkness looms, a closing bang

darkness everywhere and so
its journey has not ended here
suddenly a crack of light
its brightness shining in dark of night
without remorse its skin torn 'part
an agony of pain, delight

his cellmates more, are torn and shredded
there blood is dripping, pulling, falling
and soon they are together
in a new skin, a new home
and it happens again.
