I'm planning on writing a short story, so I figured I'd let the fine people on Cheap Talk pick the subject, plot, characters, etc.

Just give me a few basic ideas and I'll fill in the rest. I'm not writing too big of a story, so it won't be long or complex.

After I'm finished, I'll post it and I'll make a thread for you to rate how much you liked it.

Don't worry, I won't get hurt if you don't like it.


I really don't care too much about what the story should be, it could include marijuana or not. Just nothing really whacky like a monkey that flies a space ship and lands on Jupiter to find it full of magical marijuana, so he brings it back to earth and becomes the first monkey millionaire.

I can't wait to see some of the replies I get for this.

write a short story on the basis that god actually starts interacting with humans, and what ways he does it. it shouldn't be any of the gods of major religions though, like disprove those. anyways thats it.

silent-bob, that would be good but it seems like it would be too stereotypical. I don't know much about rock stars and what they do besides drugs, sex and rock n roll.

liberty's suggestion could be interesting. I'll keep the thread open for another day or so. See who else responds before I make a decision.

I have an idea...

What if you went back on historical events and saw what might have happened. Like what would have happened if Hitler had won WWII, how would everything be different? What would have happened if the south won the civil war? How would Gore have handled post 9-11 -- would he have started two wars?

I guess thats not really a story...more of a historical fiction or something oh well.

People PLEASE PLEASE reply with actual ideas, like a situation at a bank robbery? Give me a scene to build up on and make a story out of.

Example:

Here's an idea! How about you write a short story about a man that's visiting a friend in NYC, he goes to a bar with the friend and during the night he loses his friend in the bar, so he leaves and walks around the city trying to find his friend or the way back to his friends apartment.

So I can make a short story about his adeventure through new york and the people he meets, etc....
