I was pretty high when I wrote this. Usually, I think my poems suck when I read them sober, but this one wasn't bad.

Our minds keep on slacking
While hypocrisy is pouring
Just outright attacking
As conscience is soaring
And the government is whoring
For what appears to be lacking
To us, but is really just a backing
So they can get to scoring
That which we haven't been tracking
But what is really deploring
To send another country packing
While we're here ignoring
A society that is cracking
As problems keep stacking
And they just keep on hacking
Always goring and boring
Into our fear of another hijacking
So we just continue on warring
Adoring and restoring the security underscoring
A country too damn lazy for exploring
The possibility of a revolutionary outpouring.

I wish outer space guys would conquer the Earth and make people their pets, because I'd like to have one of those little beds with my name on it.

If your friend is already dead, and being eaten by vultures, I think it's okay to feed some bits of your friend to one of the vultures, to teach him to do some tricks. But only if you're serious about adopting the vulture.

Definitely agree w/ Herbninja - really good as a song - strong rythm, could work well with a beat. dunno who i am to be the structure of poetry fascist here but i think your sacrificing clarity for the sake of rhymes too much for it to be a poem.
