Oh sweet leaf I love thee so,
In times of trouble and in times of woe

With one single puff you ease all my pains...
and set me free from these mortal chains

So I pack thee up in a colorfull bong,
and pass you around, burning so long

Such a great gift grown from our own earth...
But many do not see your invaluable worth.

They cut you down and hound my addiction,
their logic weak, and full of contradition.

But in a joint, pipe or bong...
I know my high will be sweet and long

So I must keep respect in my heart,
for this lone leaf that has done it's part

In keeping me sane and grounded in life,
and keeping me stable and away from the knife.

So I will continue to smoke every day,
buying fat sacks that always weigh...

And sharing the wealth with my friends and my foes,
alowing them to sample to the latest hydros...

For karma comes to those with wealth,
despite their tactics, despite their stealth.

And on that day when there's a DEA raid,
I'll just take a hit, sit back and just fade...

I really want some feedback on whether or not me recording my poetry to some background appropriate music strikes more emotional chords...did it enhance/hurt what I wrote?

Dornta you always crack me the fuck up man

. The audio sounds so damn Patriotic I laughed the whole time. It was pretty cool. A weird approach to this type of poem...I'd like to hear a serious topic in that voice and type of music...
Still pretty cool though

. Amusing fa sho.
