Lost republic (poem)

For possessing a plant
Men will be forced into a cell
Of course i'm gonna rant
They don't deserve living hell

Do these cops know right and wrong
Or do they only see legalities
Prohibition going on for so long
How many more drug war fatalities

I find it hard to trust a politician
Look at all the trouble they cause
Even in my homeland I feel inanition
Like progression has been long on pause

It doesn't look like things will change
Into totalitarianism our republic is ageing
Tax paid men will continue to wage
The war they are hopelessly waging
