There we were, four inexperienced and vulnerable teens sitting in a circle grinning wildly at each other. I suppose it happens to every teenager everywhere in the history of time and space but something about tonight just felt special. I could tell we all felt a world apart from other kids all around the world, we were different we were unique we were eternal!




I groped for the small glass object that was making its rounds around the tight circle and spread my grin further when my fingers closed around it. I had the ****er in a wonderful death grip, whether it liked it or not the tip of my flame was about to ignite, sending hot flame all through its mysterious, voluptuous body. I brought the glass object to my moist, starving lips and flicked the small metal wheel at the top of my Bic. A flickering yet magical flame emerged from the lighter and I brought it closer to the small glass object.




When the flame hit its mark I sucked in a wonderfully huge breath of the sweet cannabis smoke and grinned even wider as the smooth, creamy yet wonderfully harsh smoke drifted down my throat. I removed the glass object from my mouth and passed it to Jane who was sitting on my left. She grinned even wider and repeated the process I had engaged in seconds earlier.




I exhaled and immediately felt the “funk of the power” as the smoke drifted lazily about in the stuffy room that somehow felt cozy and comforting. I gripped my lighter a bit tighter and arose from the circle, in search of something, perhaps a meaning to all this cataclysmically stoned insanity. I managed to find a bag of potato chips instead and began to munch them as my friends, my best friends rambled on with their meaningless conversation.




Suddenly as if the folds of the universe had collapsed and ceased to be there was a horribly loud knock on the door, the dreaded knock, the fuzz knock.




“**** IN MY SISTER’S GRANNY PANTIES!” I screamed and laughed heartily. Soon another knock reverberated through the front hall and struck us all like a freight train. I stood up, placed the glass object into a small wooden box, which I then placed under my bed and caught one final breath of the sweet cannabis smoke before exiting the room. I walked through the front hall and felt on the verge of tears but soon after I peered through the peep-hole the tears vanished and were replaced by a wave of terror and panic.
