once in a while you come across those who touch your life
every now and then you meet someone who cahnges your views
even more rare is finding someone who gets you

this is for those friends who get me...

the creation of a friendship
the friendship of a person
the person who knows you

is more than i need
is more than i deserve
is humbling to me

the longing for a moment
the moment for the two of you
the two of you sharing that moment

is worth more than money
is worth more than gold
is better than honey :0)

this poem comes to a close

(your poem inspired me to sort of randomly write something in return using most of the same structures... but, from my own perspective. i haven't smoked yet; but i've been about to for about 2 hours now. )

You touch my life.
You forever change
the way I see the world.
You understand me.

You gave to me;
I gave back to you;
we created a friendship.

Friendship is a life covenant;
you cannot stop being mine;
I cannot stop being yours;
unless we both decide to.

You are more than I deserve,
more than I need,
and I feel humbled;
yet you are what I needed
for so long.

A moment with you,

together.
