firstly i would like to make it clear that this is NOT my work. i typed my name (bongmaster) into google and found a poetry website with a member called king bongmaster.i love his work and thought i would share one of my personal favorite peices.

Pot Makes you Paranoid?

So pot makes you paranoid?
Isn't that what you hear?
but is it really Maryjane
that causes such fear?
Now think about this
as it has often been said
"The only thing to fear is fear itself"
its all in your head
Sure we're all Afraid
scared of the law
ominously looming
its SHOCK and AWE!
you could lose your property
or end up flat broke
its the punishment that hurts
not the plant or the smoke
Maryjane wouldn't ever
kick in my door
point a gun at me
and say "down on the floor"
Maryjane wouldn't ever
take my Job or my Son
and throw me in a kenel
just for havin' some fun
cuz Maryjane you see
is only a danger to weild
because the unjust laws are backed
by a badge and a Shield
so with bravery we smoke
couragous and true
the only thing to fear
is the boys in the blue.

great message but definetly some mediocre rhyming. It doesn't appear to be in any meter. But none the less I have always said that the only thing that makes people paranoid smoking is the fear that they will get caught.

I feel like it is more then the author states. The paranoia we experience from pot doesn't only have to do with getting busted. It is also the confliction within our thoughts due to the mind states that we are raised in. If you can follow me, most of us are raised to believe that weed is a drug, therefore bad. Then after we discovered it for ourselves we no longer felt this way. However, our peers still did. Thats why kids think people are staring at them in convience stores. Or when we use eye drops before going into work. It is the subconscience feeling that others will view you negatively if they knew you were a stoner.

Thats what makes me sick. As a result I have stopped using eye drops, I have stopped hiding it from my parents, I refuse to hide in fear that others won't see someone successful stoned. Too many people only see the burn outs because they are the only ones who don't care enough to hide it.

If successful upright citizens stood up and said "YES I am a stoner, but I still work a job, go to school and follow every other law that I can" I pay taxes and help out strangers and would even walk an old lady across the street. I am a good citizen and I smoke marijuana. Then others who didn't smoke may not have the ignorant notion that a stoner is in any way less of a person.

Sorry for the rant on your thread bro, just started going in this is what came out...
