This is "Getting Dressed" I wrote this while I was trying to open more creative doors to my poems.

I put on my smalls,
As if I am clandestine.
I put on my shirt and jeans,
Still I know there is an undertow.
The undertow is so strong I put on my socks.
Then it starts to reverberate,
So I put on my shoes.
When it has pacified I start to brush my hair,
As if I can snub it away.
I put on makeup,
As if I can subterfuge it to the back of my mind.
I put on perfume as if the scent will pique it.
I brush my teeth to eradicate it.
But by that time it has ravaged me
and I flow with it to my next life.

I've never really been one to understand poetry... too metaphrocial for my tastes. I could never interpret them.

But as far as I can comment, I can say that I like your diction, very unique.

The poem also flowed well.

But as far as extracting the significance, well, I'm still wondering what it is.

The best way I can describe what it is.......the feeling you get when you start another day.....especially when you didn't expect to see another day.

GREAT POME MISHKA! really awesome. this poem really gets to me cuz i fell the same way when i wake up. i can really relate to what your trying to say whether or not what im thinkin of is totally different to yours or not which is whats great about this poem, if that made ne sense. I amost feel like it is the previous day. As your starting a new day u wanna try to get rid of the day before. And sometimes i just have bad days that i wanna stop thinkin about. I really enjoyed this poem and hopefully looking forward to more from you! plz post more!
