Poem: SALTY WATER

Standing by the seashore I see your eyes
Reflecting into mine through the salted water
How inevitable are these sorrowful goodbyes
Washing upon us as if it wouldn’t bother…

We stand together, one beside the other
Looking young, you to your father, and I as my mother
We stand together, if for only a moment
Soon you are crying, but refuse to show it.

To believe we could be together forever
When my heart was promised to you by a shared kiss
Now our hands are together, mine without yours, never!
But it’s time we fret, a void distance betwixt us, and you I will miss.

Yea im usually very critical of poems and dont think many are that good, but im posting cause i think yours is very good. you should post more and keep up the good work
